Application for Admission

Thank you for your interest in Gothenburg International School (GIS).

Applications are now open for January 2027 for Years 1–9. School starts on Tuesday 12 January 2027. Please submit your application by Monday 30 November 2026.

There is no application fee.

Before You Begin

Please complete a separate application for each child. You will be asked to upload the following documents:

• Your child’s passport or official identification document
• A passport or official identification document for each parent or legal guardian
• Your child’s most recent school report, where available
• Your child’s vaccination or immunisation record
• Any current educational, learning-support or specialist reports, where relevant

Documents may be submitted in their original language. We may ask for clarification or a translation where necessary.

If a required document is not available, please contact admissions@goteborgis.se before you submit your application.

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

What Happens Next

Once we have received your application, our admissions team will review it and contact you about eligibility, year-group placement, availability and the next steps. We may ask for further documents or a meeting.

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission or reserve a place. A place is confirmed when you accept an Offer of Admission.
